Thank you, Refrezh

On the 26th of February, we announced the signing of Ismail “refrezh” Ali.

On the 11th of April, just 44 days later Heroic won the ESL Pro League trophy in an epic manner. Instant impact!

Since then, the team has had many great experiences together both on and off the server. On the server, refrezh helped us not only win the ESL Pro League Season 13, but also to get us into the playoff-stages in both the PGL Major Stockholm and the PGL Major Antwerp. Just last week he lifted the Pinnacle Cup Championship trophy with the rest of the team in Lund. Talk about ending on a high note!

At Heroic, our team has always felt like a family, and Ismail has been a huge contributor to the atmosphere and social side of the team. He is very hard working, does insane things on the server and is just a great teammate.

So why make the change?

Since the beginning of this 5-man roster, we have always believed that the team were capable of great things. However, during the last year Heroic has been highly competitive in the major tournaments but has struggled to take that final last step. Therefore, despite all the qualities of refrezh, we have decided that it was time to try something new.

Refrezh will remain under contract with Heroic while he explores new opportunities. We will assist him in any way needed.
